I promised, so I delivered! Thanks to Shauna for making this "Happy Birthday" plaque and flowers and saving a busy mum some time in the weekend!

My grade 11 class makes their first cakes by their own design.

International Foods Presentations

All the last week we were sampling foods that our students brought from their background culture. I had a feast and loved every bite! I got inspired to make borsht from the fresh beets and cabbage etc. at my local farm market-- so good! Also I loved this cake that Gaby brought to class, which I photographed so I can remember what it looks like!

Lucy's birthday cake

My youngest daughter turned 3 last weekend! With the help of my 10 year old daughter Yumi, who made the presents and balloons out of fondant, I whipped up this yummy strawberry vanilla chiffon cake at the last minute (My day job keeps me busy :)). There was a large slab to go with it, as my guests always eat a lot of cake!
